Helpful, courteous staff. Plenty of beautifully delicious foods... definitely above average selections and recipes... and gorgeous warm chocolate chunk cookies that melt in your mouth.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Waited 20 minutes to order but food was worth the wait. The turkey dinner was delicious and my father in law liked his stuffed haddock. It was a little weird when we asked for takeout boxes, our server kept insisting on packing up our food for us instead of us packing it up ourselves. After we politely explained that it’s nothing personal it’s just our preference she brought us our boxes. We will definitely be back.

Our family has a celebration of life luncheon there. Patrick and Paul were incredible. They are professional and courteous - as well as all of the other employees. The food was absolutely delicious. Centerpieces on the tables were provided by them ans they were gorgeous. The day went so smoothly because of all of the staff there. I can’t say enough.

We recently held a memorial luncheon at the OCC. Paul the manager, and the staff were tremendous. They were empathetic to our situation and sincere. Paul was so easy to work with. Reviewing the specifics of the event could not have been simpler. Paul and the staff were super accommodating, warm, and inviting to us and our guests. The menu selections were great, satisfying a wide range of palates. The food was excellent. The venue, originally a firehouse, was spotless with lots of character. Our guests raved about the experience. I cannot think of anything which needed improvement. I highly recommend the OCC for your next event. Well done and thank you.

We were just here for a private party and it was wonderful. Every bit of food was absolutely delicious, the space was beautiful and even the bathrooms were lovely. I can't say enough kind things about the staff, especially Kim, who were so kind and attentive AND patient with our 3 year old who was a bit overwhelmed with the party we were attending. What a wonderful experience.

Dropped in last eve and so happy I found this gem. The vibe, food, and service were exceptional! Paul and Patrick are a great team and shared the history of of the restaurant. Patrick took the time to show me the upstairs function room. I would definitely book this place for an intimate gathering. I look forward to dining with you again soon!

First time here, definitely won't be the last. Great atmosphere and service. Fresh bread before the meal. I had the bay scallop special and it was fantastic. Very happy with the amount of scallops for the price too!

A beloved restaurant in Norwood is closing for good after more than five decades. The Olde Colonial Café will close after 56 years, with the restaurant hosting its “Last Hurrah” from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, Boston25 reported. “This was my life. I love what I did. I’m going to miss it, but when you’re almost 80, it’s time,” Owner Paul Angelo told the news outlet, citing his retirement as the reason for The Olde Colonial Café’s closure. “I can’t wait to spend a lot of time with my kids and their kids,” he added. Olde Colonial Café originally opened on Savin Avenue in Norwood in 1969 before moving to its current location at located at 171 Nahatan St. The business has been in Angelo’s family for generations, according to Olde Colonial Café’s website. The longtime eatery is known for its American fare and Italian dishes served in a brick-cladded interior and patio. Olde Colonial Café is also a popular event space, with the establishment hosting a wide range of functions over the years.
